LogicFour Cookie Policy

Last updated: TO CONFIRM: date

In short. We set two cookies. Both are required to sign you in safely. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party tracking cookies. That is why you do not see a cookie banner.

The cookies we set

CookiePurposeLifetime
__Host-lf_sessionKeeps you signed in7 days
__Host-lf_stateProtects the sign-in exchange against cross-site request forgery10 minutes

Both are first-party. The __Host- prefix means your browser accepts them only over a secure connection and only for this site.

Browser storage we use

Local storage keeps your half-written research answers on your own device for up to 30 days, so you do not lose them between visits. They reach our servers only when you submit them. Session storage holds the rotating visit identifier used in the IP-free product analytics described in the Privacy Policy; it is cleared when your browser session ends. Neither is sent anywhere beyond what the Privacy Policy describes.

Why there is no cookie banner

EU and Lithuanian rules require consent for storing information on your device unless the storage is strictly necessary for a service you asked for. Both of our cookies exist only to sign you in and keep that sign-in safe. Local storage only saves your own work at your request. On that basis we treat the storage above as within the strictly-necessary exemption, so no consent banner is shown. Nothing here tracks you across sites or feeds advertising.

If this changes

An optional cookieless analytics tool and a bot-protection widget are built into the code but switched off. If we enable either, we will revisit this policy first and ask for consent if the law requires it.
